Ladywoods commitment to Wellbeing
At Ladywood we are fully committed to supporting individual’s mental health and wellbeing. We recognise that in order for everyone to feel at their optimum wellness we will provide a plethora of support using in house expertise and strengths as well as external professional services.
Mission for Staff
Wellbeing is strongly linked to happiness and life satisfaction. Through our strategies we endeavour to equip our staff with the necessary skills to manage their own mental wellbeing in every aspect of their life and as a school community we will connect collaboratively with all staff to help them to manage this in a supportive proactive way.
At Ladywood we are proud to recognise individuality and as such have adopted and implemented the 5 Ways to Wellbeing which are 5 simple and effective ways to improve staff’s psychological and emotional health. This is an evidence based framework that enables staff to access a range of ways which will have a positive impact on their personal, emotional wellbeing and resilience.
All staff will have opportunities to benefit from our universal Wellbeing offer and where necessary SLT and the wellbeing team will support staff to access a tailored offer as required. This offer (left) is not exhaustive and as part of our ongoing commitment for all we provide an open doors policy and continual opportunities for staff to have honest conversations during appraisals, staff development meetings and annual staff questionnaires.
We consciously reflect on our practise and intend to purposefully respond and adapt accordingly to the current needs of staff wellbeing.
